I started Luftmensch photography as a portfolio for the photographs that I take on my travels, and as much as it is about the photographs, it is also about the fact that photography is an extremely comfortable medium for me to express my thoughts.
There are a lot of debates around the accuracy and credibility of the Myers-Briggs personality tests, but when I discovered that I am an INFJ, a lot of things made sense. I am not a talker, but when I write, I can eloquently express myself. Thoughts and pictures is how I think.
“Luftmensch” is a German word for an impractical and contemplative person. For me, my impracticalities seem to make a lot of sense when I am holding a camera, or when I get a really good shot, or when I can clearly express my thoughts in words and in sentences. I hope the photographs here on this page speak to you, for that is all a photographer could ask for.
